October 16th, 2012 – “The beginning of an adventure along Macalister Road,” “The Macalister Mansion is associated with the good things in life and having a great time at a scale that is both intimate and personal.” For some reason, our thoughts go immediately to the gutter when sifting through the new Macalister Mansion press release….there are only so many ways to say it – without saying it!


除了间接地表达，这座马来西亚具有100年历史的殖民风格大楼刚刚被总部设在新加坡的创意团队“设计部”完全翻修改变后重新对外开放。
But beyond the vicarious innuendos, the 100 year old colonial mansion in Malaysia has just re-opened its doors after being completely transformed by the Singapore-based creatives at Ministry of Design.


在其他的冒险中，麦卡利斯特大厦实现了一个美食之旅，为各路宾客提供不是一种，而是为空间，饮食，饮酒，跳舞和交际提供五种不同的空间。
Amongst other adventures, the Macalister Mansions promises a gastronomic adventure, providing their guests with not one, but five different exciting spaces for eating, drinking, dancing, and mingling。


任何在正常空间内的功能你都能在这座大厦中找到，餐厅，书房，起居室，草坪，还有八个房间。
Each of the establishments are branded after common spaces you might find at a mansion; The Dining Room, The Den, The Living Room, The Lawn, and Eight Rooms.


“设计部”利用其设计机会创造了五个极具想象力的古怪空间，使客人在每个独特的设计中极致地体会到新的气氛。
MOD took the opportunity to create five totally different imaginative and quirky spaces, allowing for guests to experience a little bit of everything by letting each unique design set a new mood!


客人可以选择在色彩粉嫩的玻璃纤维鹿型雕塑之中吃饭，或者可以选择更加休闲的小酒馆风格布置，地面是有花纹的瓷砖铺成，盆栽植物从天花板倒挂下来。
Guests can choose to dine in the midst of pastel painted fiber glass deer sculptures, or a more casual bistro type setting with patterned tiled floors and planted pots hanging from above.


在客房套间里，“设计部”重建并突出了许多大厦原有的特质，比如说科林斯是失主，细节化的旋转楼梯，传统的护墙板，与此同时与他对应的是具有现代感的家俱和简约风的配件。
Up in the suites, MOD restored and highlighted many of the mansions original features such as the Corinthian columns, detailed spiral staircase, and traditional wainscoting, while juxtaposing it with modern furniture and minimalistic accents pieces.
