Dear to me: Peter Zumthor puts his most-appreciated art on show at Kunsthaus bregenz

由建筑师彼得•卒姆托设计的布雷根茨美术博物馆最近开设了一个展览,旨在创造一个引起艺术反思,调解和沉思的空间。这些展示都是以他自己喜爱的文化作品为中心,卒姆托起名‘dear to me’,把这个奥地利博物馆变成了一个建筑讨论和教育交流的地方,展示了一些他最赞赏的艺术家的作品,其中包括Hélènebinet,Gerda steiner和Jörglenzlinger的作品。

The Kunsthaus bregenz museum’s architect Peter Zumthor has curated an exhibition within the venue that seeks to create spaces of artistic reflection, mediation and contemplation. Centering around the cultural themes he himself cherishes, Zumthor’s ‘dear to me’ turns the austrian museum into a place of architectural discussion and educational discourse, with works by some of his most-appreciated artists, including Hélène inet, Gerda steiner and Jörg lenzlinger.

从布雷根茨美术馆的最高层依次向下。首先游客在顶楼找到一个幻想花园,在这里艺术家夫妇Gerda steiner和Jörglenzlinger利用精美的植物和移动设施布置,仿佛让博物馆内部的展厅都充满了阳光。展厅内由混合的材料制成,组合形态的植物与场地内的建筑相互配合,向上生长,又水平延伸,细密的内部相互重叠。

Descending from the Kunsthaus bregenz’s uppermost levels, visitors find a fantastical garden on the top floor. Artist couple Gerda steiner and Jörg lenzlinger have infilled the space with an arrangement of delicate plants, each suspended like a mobile from the museum’s light-filled ceiling. Made from a mix of materials, the botanical compositions engage with the architecture of the site, growing upwards, extending horizontally, and delicately overlapping interior walls.

游客在顶楼邂逅的一个幻想花园/Visitors encounter a fantastical garden on the top floor

在下一层的空间中,游客会看到密集搁置的书柜,书柜在展厅内形成一个用书本排列成的迷宫。螺旋形的书柜拥有大约4万本书,都是为了本次展览特地从库尔市和布雷根茨买的。作为一个文艺的中庭,该地区为公众阅读和私人学习提供了一个空间,Horgenglarus设计的椅子,来自瑞士最古老的家具制造商,遍布整个展览空间中。

On the floor below, visitors encounter a dense configuration of shelved walls that form a book-lined labyrinth within the space. The spiral-shaped unit holds about 40,000 publications brought from the city of chur to bregenz especially for the exhibition. Serving as a sort of literary atrium, the area offers a space for both public reading and private study, with chairs by Horgenglarus — switzerland’s oldest furniture manufacturer — situated throughout the installation.

而到了下一层的亮点是卒姆托的设计成果——房屋——这些让博物馆洒下类似阳光光线的天花板,搭配着墙上的反光水磨石,而墙壁则展示了摄影师Hélènebinet的一系列作品,记录了雅典卫城里的一些景观。由希腊风景园林设计师Dimitris pikionis,同时也是卒姆托最喜欢的建筑师之一,为古老的圣殿山(temple mount)设计块石路面。相片则是由Binet拍摄的。

同样也是在这一层,奥地利作曲家Olga Neuwirth和卒姆托的儿子,音乐家Peter Conradin zumthor创造了一个作品音乐盒,他的打孔卡带通过一系列的装置上升到天花板。

The first floor highlights Zumthor’s real work — the building — centering around the museum’s daylight ceiling, reflective terrazzo, and stone shell of the walls. Walls display a series of works by photographer Hélène binet that records subjects from athens’ acropolis. One of zumthor’s favorite architects is Dimitris pikionis — the greek landscape architect who designed the paving on the ancient temple mount, which binet photographically captured.
Also on the first level, austrian composer olga neuwirth was asked by Zumthor’s son, musician Peter Conradin zumthor, to create a composition for a music box, whose punch card tape is fed through a system that winds up to the ceiling.

每个博物馆的天花板都安装了能够让空间充满阳光的移动设备/Each arrangement is suspended like a mobile from the museum’s light-filled ceiling

一架Bösendorfer大钢琴放置在地面上,在舞台上方悬挂了一块黑色天篷。墙上的几何镶板作为抽象的彩色绘画,使空间和声音分隔。卒姆托设计的椅子和凳子为游客观看瑞士电影制片人Christoph schaub导演的电影提供了方便,电影展示了与卒姆托设计的建筑项目相关的采访和档案资料:在每个星期天早上,以“dear to me”为主题,卒姆托采访那些启发了他的工作的人们。

A bösendorfer grand piano is installed on ground level with a black canopy suspended above the platform of the stage. Geometric paneling on the walls acts as abstract color field paintings, and a space and sound divider. Zumthor-designed chairs and stools allow space for visitors to watch a film directed by swiss filmmaker christoph schaub, which shows interviews and archival material relating to zumthor’s architectural projects. Reflecting on the theme of ‘dear to me’, each sunday morning, Zumthor interviews people whose work has inspired him.
