继2015年该区域的规划项目设计竞标取得成功之后，LAP Landscape & Urban设计事务所主要负责赞丹Oostzijderveld公园的景观与城市设计。在这里，场地需要解决约400栋住宅的建设问题。同时，该计划也包含住宅与公寓的购买与租赁，而这些功能则在政府的愿景之中，并且有着各种多样性。

After successfully winning a selection for the area in 2015, LAP Landscape & Urban design is now working on a regional perspective for the Oostzijderveld in Zaandam. Intention is to build around 400 homes here. The program consists of ground-based houses and apartments in both purchase and (social) rent and fits within the municipality's vision and offers wide variety.

In 2015, the Development Advisor B.V. an initiative to realize housing on the Oostzijderveld / VVZ site. At the end of August 2015, the municipality of Zaanstad signed a letter of intent to investigate the feasibility of this initiative. During the feasibility phase in 2015, four urban planning agencies submitted a vision for the area. The developer and municipality of Zaanstad have jointly assessed LAP Landscape & Urban Design and Zecc as the winner on the basis of a first program and urban design.

The Oostzijderveld (also called VVZ site) in Zaandam-Noord is approximately 4.7 ha and lies between the station Zaandam Kogerveld, the fire station and the A7. After the site has been vacant for several years, there is now a view on housing development. At the beginning of April 2016, the Commission decided to start negotiations with Ontwikkeladviseur BV and Timpaan about the realization of housing on the former VVZ site. The developments must provide an impetus for the environment and offer quality to enable continued growth for residents of Zaandam, but also for new residents from the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (MRA). The development must also give an impetus to the surrounding area. In April 2017, the Board agreed to start the development.

The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (MRA) has great pressure on the housing market. Within MAAK Zaanstad the ambition has been endorsed to expand the number of homes within Zaanstad and the developments at the Oostzijderveld / VVZ contribute to this. Because the objective of these developments must also have a positive effect on the existing neighborhoods, it is expected that the surrounding districts will respond positively. To test this and to properly incorporate the interests of the local residents into the plans, the stakeholders will be involved in both the new zoning plan and the drafting of the area perspective through a participation trajectory.

为了提升建筑和景观的质量，好的项目团队对于设计和实施阶段来说至关重要。该项目的设计团队包括市城市规划、景观设计师、项目主管、开发商、建筑师等等，他们将对设计场地制定详细的初步设计，并提出规划的方向。此外，在该地区的大范围之中，政府机构也在发展方面的规划做出了相关条例，并参考了该团队一些建议。

In order to ensure that the architectural and landscape quality is leading, a quality team is set up that determines the intended quality during the design and execution phase. The quality team (consisting of municipality: urban design and landscape architect, supervisor, developer: architect, landscape architect) will elaborate the plans into a preliminary design with a design memorandum to give substance to the intended image. In addition, for a larger area where the Oostzijderveld / VVZ falls within, the municipality draws up an area perspective and is used as a guideline and assessment framework by the quality team.

The team is currently working on the Oostzijderveld environmental vision as part of the larger area perspective in collaboration with the municipality of Zaandam and Mooi NoordHolland.
